    Assessments are a valid part of our services and it is important that they are properly administered, measured, and read. ABA interventions are data driven therefore the ability to use the results from the common assessments will enhance the programs for the individuals and help them to reach their maximum potential. When too much time is spent after a skill has been mastered, valuable time is lost. Conversely, if the skill is too difficult or the prerequisite skills have not developed, the individual will not be successful. Both scenarios increase the likelihood that problem behaviors will arise. So choosing the proper goal is crucial and assessments will be your guide.

    Objectives:

    • Discuss some common assessments: Vineland, ABLLS/AFLS, SSIS/BASC
    • How to use a developmental scale, How to read and use the results
